Mommy did you just hear that? Super Why just lied!

Gotta love PBS morning shows. They teach great lessons using everyday preschool books that our kids know about. Super Why is a show with a group of normal kids who have problems. The turn into superhero's and use books, spelling, letters, ect to learn about their problem by seeing what is happening in a book. They find clues on how they can fix their problem and enter their letter clues in to a computer. Their lessons include having tantrums, working together, keeping secrets, helping others, ect.
Keagan has been watching this show forever. So we have seen many of the episodes SEVERAL times!! Every so often he gets it! Out of the blue he sees or hears something and he will reference it back to something he learned from Super Why. Today the book was Pinnocheo. Apparently Wyatt (Super Why, when he isn't a superhero) broke something and then lied to his mother about it.
I think no matter how much I try to teach him the difference about telling the truth and lying, he still needs to see the visual example with something he already relates to. Now if I could just give Super Why a call and inform him of a few other lessons I would like Keagan to learn, I would be happy! But today I will settle with realizing it and pointing it out when someone (cartoon or not) actually did it and Keagan knew it was wrong.

Happy Birthday Kevin

We had a busy day planed of activities starting with helping Staci do her scanning. We then went to the grand opening of the Resource Center in their new location. The Resource center is where we check out toys and learning materials for Keagan to 'borrow' at home. He really enjoys going there and Ms. Carylynn always has the best stuff for whatever we are working
on. From there we went to Chickfila ,for Cow Appreciation Day, where we got free sandwiches for dressing like a cow. We spent the next couple of hours traveling to the endocrinologist, way uptown, for a recommended evaluation for Keagan. Long story short, we were never seen by the Doctor, and I am sure the office manager will be getting an informative letter as to why we will not be paying a bill for missing an appointment when we were actually there.

To help us feel like our long drive was worth it, we stopped at a dealership to look at cars again. One day we will find the car for us, but it wasn't today. We were close, even took a test drive, but we are all about research and the dealer informed us if we didn't buy that car today, the person that just took a test drive in that same car was waiting at the next desk for us to pass on it so they could buy it. Lucky for us we have learned from our trusty google education that you never buy on the first visit to the lot!

Finally home for pizza, cake and movie night. Keagan and Staci made a cake with a segway on top. Creativity was attempted again in our house. Using doughnuts, graham cracker, brownie, twix bars, and happy pills (m&m's) Keagan and Staci made our version of a cake topper!! We had kit kat bars for the trail. Those were originally for the handlebars but between melting and breaking while trying to be attached, Keagan and Mommy felt they should be eaten instead!

Keagan feels that every birthday in our house deems it necessary for him to blow out the candles...several times. You can see his excitement!!!

The pictures do not do it justice, but here there are!!!

Happy Birthday Daddy!!!!
